RIL solutions for Microsoft platforms

Intrinsyc is an industry leader at integrating Windows Mobile with baseband processors via Radio Interface Layers (RILs). Working in conjunction with Microsoft’s Cellcore telephony stack and the baseband processor, Intrinsyc is able to seamlessly integrate voice and data applications, including push-to-talk, into the next generation of mobile handheld devices. Our RIL solutions for 2G and 3G, including our newest product RapidRIL, are shipping today on devices by some of the industry’s largest manufacturers. RapidRIL - eases implementation efforts and reduces time-to-market

Optimized for second and third generation (2.5G/3G) Windows Mobile handsets, RapidRIL™ delivers successive time and cost savings as well as flexibility by allowing developers to work on different aspects of the radio interface layer simultaneously and by extending feature sets and adapting different handset architectures without in-depth recoding. Additionally, RapidRIL supports multiple control and data channels that can be customized for a specific handset and used to enable various features with minimal code rewrite. Its key benefits include:

• Ability to support multiple radio devices and SIM devices;
• Potential to isolate more time-consuming functions, thereby improving the user experience; and
• Ability to add simple commands to enable features such as location-based services.

We built a suite of drivers and applications to enable telephony features on both Microsoft platforms, supporting a wide range of baseband processors across multiple networks including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, CDMA, WCDMA, and CDMA200 > Learn more

Our VoIP client allows for seamless use between GSM and WiFi whenever any high speed TCP/IP connection is detected. We created our own custom Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) stack that integrates with 3rd party audio codecs and echo cancellation APIs and can be customized for a customer’s proprietary server.

We have experience in integrating baseband processors from Agere, Enfora, Freescale, Motorola, Qualcomm, Siemens, Sierra Wireless, TTPCOM, and Wavecom.
