RIL solutions for Microsoft platforms

Intrinsyc is an industry leader at integrating Windows Mobile with baseband processors via Radio Interface Layers (RILs). Working in conjunction with Microsoft’s Cellcore telephony stack and the baseband processor, Intrinsyc is able to seamlessly integrate voice and data applications, including push-to-talk, into the next generation of mobile handheld devices. Our RIL solutions for 2G and 3G, including our newest product RapidRIL, are shipping today on devices by some of the industry’s largest manufacturers. If you are considering adding telephony to a device based on a Microsoft platform, you should talk to us about integrating a RIL for you.

RapidRIL - eases implementation efforts and reduces time-to-market

Optimized for second and third generation (2.5G/3G) Windows Mobile handsets, RapidRIL™ delivers successive time and cost savings as well as flexibility by allowing developers to work on different aspects of the radio interface layer simultaneously and by extending feature sets and adapting different handset architectures without in-depth recoding. Additionally, RapidRIL supports multiple control and data channels that can be customized for a specific handset and used to enable various features with minimal code rewrite. Its key benefits include:

  • Ability to support multiple radio devices and SIM devices;
  • Potential to isolate more time-consuming functions, thereby improving the user experience; and
  • Ability to add simple commands to enable features such as location-based services.
